The surfaces that are built for pressure
Concrete, asphalt, pavers, brick and painted or bare wood decking can all take a real blast of water without coming apart the way vinyl siding or asphalt shingles can. Power washing blasts away dirt, grime, mold and stains that have worked their way into the pores of the material, on driveways and sidewalks, decks and patios, parking lots, fences and walls, and concrete surfaces generally. It is the same method Roger uses on the harder end of a residential property and on full commercial lots.
Why it is not the method for everything
Siding and roof shingles are a different story. Vinyl can crack under too much force, paint can strip, and high pressure on a shingle roof can lift the granules and void the manufacturer's warranty. That work is soft washed instead, using the cleaning solution rather than the force of the water to do the job. Power washing and soft washing are two different tools, and the property decides which one gets used where.

Decks and patios
Half a deck tells the whole story
Years of foot traffic, pollen and standing moisture build up in the grain of a wood deck until the boards go grey. High pressure lifts it back out, board by board, and the water pooling on the finished side is exactly what is left behind: clean wood, not a coating painted over the top of the dirt. Patios and the ground beneath a deck get the same treatment, not just the visible surface.
One reviewer specifically asked for her deck cleaned and got the patio underneath it cleaned as well, without being asked and without the price changing.
